Monday Mentions Mashup: Writing, Pets & Fun

The Guido Gazette offers delightful Halloween cat costumes!

Monday Mentions is the mash-up-day of all the neato-torpedo links and blogs and writer-icity crappiocca collected over the past week. Since tomorrow begins NaNoWriteMo month (and no, I’m not doing that!), some links today focus on fiction help and there’s great info collected from pub’d authors and teachers. Enjoy!

This week I’m doing my dogged best FICTION–I’m in late stage edits–so the blogs may be a bit brief and the Twitter and Facebook postings will get drive-by quick hits. My phone once again works, though (yay!) and will use the hey-honey’s printer until a new one can be purchased.

Chocolate Lowers Stroke Risk--YAY! just in time for Halloween–not for pets, of course. *s* But may help writers get over that writer’s block…ya think?

In honor of Halloween, the Mentions start off on the right “paw” with the kitty in the photo (above).  Guideo Basolo is the kitty STAR of the Guido Gazette (see picture above) and it seems purr-fectly appropriate to offer a shout-out on Halloween to this kitty’s extraordinary fashion sense.

  1. Great mashup of links, Amy, as usual 🙂

I especially like the one about chocolate and stroke risk! I’m off to read that one right now. Then I’ll come back and look at the rest 🙂

  3. I always love your mash-ups! I hadn’t seen the one from D.P. Lyle’s blog yet – we had him speak at our chapter not so long ago. 🙂

    Thanks for the linky-love!!

  4. Fantastic line-up Amy – wow – gonna keep me busy. I love it! thanks for taking the time to pull it all together for us – you rock!

  5. OK, that remote cat toy thing is quite possibly the coolest shelter gadget I’ve ever seen. I caught a tortie before my time was up!

  6. Happy Howlloween, Amy.

  7. Karyl, I thought that was brilliant, too!

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.
