Monday Mentions: Pets, Writer-icity & Bo Does Christmas

Monday Mentions is the mash-up-day of all the neato-torpedo links and blogs and writer-icity crappiocca collected over the past week. Although I didn’t participate in the NaNo-nanny-boo-boo November fictioning project, I’m impressed by several friends and colleagues who have made great progress on their novels. I hope to have news on my own thriller-icity WIP in the coming weeks.

To get my brain back in nonfiction book gear, tomorrow the Tuesday Tips begins the next series–this time on putting together book proposals. Stay tuned–and please check in to offer your own tips and suggestions.

Also please send your Ask Amy suggestions for future videos. Next weekend I’m putting on the sparkle-icity for more Q & A. Hey, if I don’t know the answer I’ll find out (or make something up!).

Pepsi Refresh Project! My friend and colleague Mary Ann Miller was just notified that her project idea for saving older stray cats has been approved to participate in the Pepsi Refresh project. You can help to get the word out and vote for this project three times a day with this link. You can go directly to the link and vote, you can vote via FB or you can text in a vote. In the 2 field you need to put 73774 and in the body of the message 110725 then send it. Spread the news–cats will thank you for it!

  1. Great list, Amy! Love those kitty posters, I have a whole collection of them on my system that I use as a screensaver from time to time. Thanks for sharing these awesome links 🙂

  2. Fab line-up of resources Amy – thank you! I LOVED the video – OMG how cute is HE?!?!??! Just a piece of sweetness….yum!!!

  3. Great post thanks. I really enjoyed it very much. You have excellent content on your blog.

  4. Sort of skimmed this round between chores (oh man I swear the house is launching a full-on assault on my attempts to clean it – socks dirtying themselves while I sleep, dishes having nice little rolls in our food while I’m at work… and I’m quite certain there are at least a few extra invisible cats shedding not-so-invisible hair all over the place)… but loved the “Inglish” article (If that sort of thing cracks you up check out – photos of mangled English on signs, menus, pretty much everything you can think of from all around the world – though most from Asia).

Had a little peek at the publishing options article, too, and I think I manage to confuse myself and educate myself at the same time. LOL Methinks I have a few more things to learn before my little work-in-progress goes live. Good thing it’ll probably be a few years before the dang thing’s finished.

  5. Great stuff, Amy, but I couldn’t read the article on cats worldwide. Too sad! I’m going over to the Pepsi Refresh Project right now. That’s the way to care for kitties.
