    • Lorie, you always have the best info on the latest mind-blowing social networking writer-icity. The Westchester interview was fun! Lots of other CWA members were interviewed, too.

  4. Amy thanks for the mention, and what a delightful discovery your are for me 🙂

That little girl – it took me back so far – to my son’s childhood and even to my own. It’s such a treasure to have beautiful cats in our lives. We’ve also had aging animals and they do bring with them special needs – diabetes, cancer, arthritis, spinal injuries are the ones we’ve dealt with.

Oh and the mashup is fantastic – I’ve bookmarked it too.

  5. I love how the cat keeps looking at the adults in the first video like “Uhhhh what’s it doing now?? Somebody? What does it want from me??? …oh, okay hug. Waitwaitwait, NOW what??” LOL And I think the kid is learning. I never have been one to be overly for punishing the animal if they give a good warning whack (with the exception of one cat I’ve known who had been mistreated at a previous home who had a habit of making first strike and attacking for no reason, he had to be backed down and told “no”) – I seem to recall my parents telling me after at least a few cat scratches that it was the cat’s way of saying they don’t like that, and I need to learn to listen before they hit. Sometimes it is the best teacher. In my early years I learned most of my critter lessons from being bitten, scratched, pecked at, or kicked. LOL Like, they all still understood and trusted me but I was the most annoying dang kitten/puppy/foal/chick they had ever had the misfortune of having to deal with, and by the gods they were going to teach me how to behave like a proper cat/dog/horse/whatever. LOL It was like I was one of them, so that’s how they handled me.
